The Best of Friends...

I am very lucky to have been blessed with very good friends, people that have proven to love me and support me in just about every good time and hard time in my life.  I am so glad that I got to see these people before I headed off to a far off land! :)

When I first got home I spent a lovely evening with 2 of my closest girl friends, one that I have been best friends with since grade 4, and the other I picked up somewhere along the way; Tara and Jill.  These girls have really gone above and beyond over the past few years, and have really been there for me when life wasn't always so colorful :)  There really is never a dull moment when you’re with these 2 crazy crazies!!  All three of us are sooo different but then again so much alike that it’s really confusing and really just so wonderful all at the same time.  I don't think that they will ever really understand how much they mean to me but I hope that in turn I can be that person for them as well.

Mom and I had dinner the night before I left and we invited some other very important people join us :)  Jill... again.. really can't get rid of that one, she's like a leech.. jk!   And the beautiful and crazy Renee, my roommate and best friend for the greater part of my university experience.  We were known as the toxic twins by some at school, I won't go into why haha.  She is really great and I love her so much, and I am really hoping for a girl because as we discussed if I have a boy I'll have to keep Renee away when the child hits 16.  haha i'm joking...  but honestly I think that T-rex will really have quite an interesting group of pseudo aunts and uncles to look up to, that is for sure.. haha.  Also my very best friend and brother Jordan and his beautiful gf Kate and their adorable little doggie Sookie came to share the evening.  I could not be more happy for my brother to have someone like Kate, its good to know that he is in good hands and I don't have to worry about him while I'm gone :)

And last but certainly not least, the Kerrs.   Lolly and Stan, I really don't even know where to begin with Lolly and Stan.  Well I've known them for as long as I've been alive, and I don't think that there is any other place in the world that I could visit and spend time at for 22 years and still get just as excited every time I go.  They are pretty much my second parents and my second home. They also have been there for the good times and the bad and not ever once passed judgment and have just loved me no matter what.  Lolly really has to be the most kind and generous person I have ever known and Stan, well besides being the coolest dude ever, he is also the most honest and has given me some of the best advice.  Also their entire family just so happens to be ALMOSTTT as great as them.  Their Daughter-in-law was also there when I went to say my good-byes and besides the 2 beautiful children that she already has she is expecting her 3rd, she is also due in October!!  So, needless to say we will be having play dates when I come back for Xmas for sure.

That just about wraps up this post...  I know it was kinda random, but sometimes things need to be said for all to hear :)  Basically I have been blessed with such a great life, great friends and family so I just want to show how thankful I am... :)

Lyra and T-Rex OUT!
